CORRECTIVE PRUNING

Properly pruning trees and shrubs promotes health, flowers and foliage.

Pollarding is a European method of pruning that may not apply to Crape Myrtles.

In Europe, trees were pollarded to produce more top growth to provide firewood or livestock feed. This method has made it's way to North Carolina.
